There isn't a set way to tell which way your relationship is going. What I would recommend is talking to your guy. Take some time to really discuss your feelings about your relationship. That will be the best way to tell what is up with the two of you.

Me and my friend were sort of dating, but not really. You see, my parents had no idea, they thought we were just friends. Some people got suspicious and asked us if we were going out, and we had to lie every time. Eventually i started feeling guilty, i didnt want to lie anymore, so i told him we should just be friends. He took that really hard. I told him i still love him, (I really do), but im not sure how to explain to him why i broke up with him. I know i hurt him bad, but how will i make it up? I still love him, more than i should.

I have been with this guy for 4 years on and off and i can't but help think that there is something missing. How can you tell if your relationship is going down hill?
