TS Woman,
Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts!
-- Contributed by: Marcelina HardyIt should really be noted that the term Shemale and Transsexual are not the same. A shemale is a derogatory term, as pointed out in this article: to the Transsexual. Why should the term Shemale be derogatory? Because Shemales are individuals who are involved in the sex trade and who love their manhood, and like to use it. A Transsexual however does not like having male body parts, or female body parts for the F2M male. (Do you find F2M Shemales advertised? Think about it) Transsexuals will go to such extremes as having genitals and breast removed and altered to reflect who we really are. Whereas a Shemale will enhance their bodies for a more pleasing and desirable feminine structure, while retaining their ability to function as a male. When the definition of a Shemale and Transsexual become blured and the Transsexual is referred to as a Shemale. You can be sure an insult has been delivered albeit perhaps in ignorance. It would be nice to have seen this article differentiating between Transsexuals and their counter parts, the Shemales. Rather then trying to lump us all together as if we could ever be one in the same. This article has been responded to by a married TS woman. Who renounced all rights assigned to males in her life. Opting rather for her feminine rights. She was never and could never be a Shemale.

-- Contributed by: Ramakant NevseJack, thanks for the comment and glad you liked the article. I understand Shemale is considered offensive which is why I mentioned this in the article. The title was chosen because most people use the term shemale. While the title does continue the offensiveness, I attempted to educate readers so that they won't continue to use the word.
-- Contributed by: Rick FulksGood articles, however there is one problem. The word "shemale" is a bit offensive to the Transgender community. Other than that a worthwhile article. Also check out Transgenderdate.com for free tg personals worldwide.
-- Contributed by: JackAnonymous, thanks for the question. Once the two of you are comfortable with each other, ask her about how she experiences sex. Tell her you are concerned about whether she will have much pleasure. She will appreciate your concern for her.
-- Contributed by: Rick FulksWow, I keep falling head over heels for girls I later find out are XY. I couldn't face the reprecutions last time, so I broke it off. I'm older now, and again a transexual comes into my life. I'm concerned about intercourse though as I've never seen a transexual's penis. I would be dissapointed if it was insensitive or non-functional due to the hormone shots or from some sort of self mutilation. Does anyone have some advice?
-- Contributed by: anonymusThanks for the question, Valisha. The scientific name for your condition is called Hermaphroditism, which would make you a Hermaphrodite. There are 3 types: True, Female Psuedo and Male Psuedo. The true kind is when you are born with testicles and ovaries. Normally doctors will attempt to determine which sex you are at the chromosome level, or by seeing which sex you most look like--before performing surgery.
Female Pseudo is when you are born with XX chromosomes and female sex organs, but they are more masculine in appearance. Male Pseudo, on the other hand, is when you are born with XY chromosomes and but have genitals that look more female (or even are female).
My guess is that you are either a true Hermaphrodite or a Pseudo Female Hermaphrodite.
That being said, it may be easier to think of yourself as a shemale. If you have male genitals but otherwise identify with being a woman, then that fits the definition of shemale--regardless of how you were born.
-- Contributed by: Rick Fulkshihi heres my story. i was born with both parts. parents tried to make me boy but my body and mind still went female. so heres my question what is the scientific name for wat i am? am i a shemale or something else?
