CC,

It's difficult to say exactly what the bump is and what caused it. Next time you see the doctor, ask him or her if it's anything to be concerned about. If it worries you, make an appointment soon to easy your mind.

Laura, I'm not a doctor so I don't know what is causing your pelvic inflammation. Please ask your doctor for his or her opinion and advice.

I am an alcoholic that has used sex as an escape on many casual occasions. Although I have a regular boyfriend, I am very concerned about that fact that I have pelvic inflammatory disease and what it may lead to in the future. Is this a result of being promiscuous? My doctor sometimes even has to prescribe different creams when it acts up to help with discharge and odor. Any info is appreciated- Laura Voyles Downers Grove, Illinois
