Quest Personals Chat Line

If you’re not interested in online dating and would rather meet new people over the phone, you can try the Quest Personals chat line. This dating service allows you to listen to voice messages left by other people briefly describing themselves and leave your own message in response if you’d like to chat with them further.

To get started with Quest Personals, go to its official website. There you can type in your area code to find your local chat line phone number. Once you type in your area code and click continue you’ll get a list of local cities. Click on the one nearest you and the number will come up.

Dial the number and press one if you are male and two if you are female. Note that men get a free 60 minute trial period before they have to sign up as paid members. Women are always allowed to use the chat line for free. There is no separate option available for transgendered persons.

Once you select your gender, and if you are male, the method in which you heard about Quest, you can choose to connect to the live chat either immediately after signing in to your voicemail box. Connecting through your voicemail box will make it possible for others to leave you messages and is a good idea if you want to be easy to find.

If you do not have a voicemail box, you will be prompted to set one up. You’ll get a four digit mailbox number and a four digit pass code. Once you're ready to chat you will be asked to record both your first name and a short greeting of approximately 60 seconds. Once you’ve done so, you can hear other people’s recorded greeting messages.

There are several ways you can respond to a person's greeting:

• Press two if you’d like to leave a message in the person’s voicemail box.
• Press one if you’d like to know if the person wants to chat with you. You will be given a chance to record a two-minute message and the person can accept or decline after hearing it.
• Press five if you want more information on the person whose greeting you are listening to. You can hear his or her home city and mailbox number, if applicable.
• Press three to skip to the next person’s greeting.
• Press seven to add the person to your friends list.
• Press the star key to put the line on hold without hanging up the phone.
• Press the pound key to go back to the main menu.

Quest Personals does not monitor the content in its mailboxes, but you can block callers that you find offensive by pressing eight.

If you’re male and you decide that you’d like to continue using Quest after your free minutes expire, you can purchase additional chat minutes online or over the phone. The following are the directions for signing up online:

1. Go back to Quest’s homepage, type in your telephone area code and click on your city name.
2. Click on Join Now.
3. Read the terms and conditions and check the box stating you read them. Then click continue.
4. Select a time package by clicking the radial button next to it. You can buy 160 minutes, 420 minutes or 740 minutes.
5. Type in your name, email address, phone number, street address and payment information.

You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover or PayPal.

You cannot use Quest Personals chat line if you are under 18 years of age. You must call and check your messages at least once every four weeks or Quest will delete your account. If you don’t check a message within one week of getting it, it will be erased from the system. To help you remember to log in, you can sign up to have Quest alert you via a text message to your cell phone each time someone leaves you a voicemail..
