In terms of choosing whom to meet and when to give out personal information, common sense should be your guide. Don't give your full name, address, or phone number to someone you don't have reason to trust. If you're meeting someone, make sure a friend or loved one knows where you'll be and when to expect you home.

Gary, thanks for the question. Unfortunately, I don't know of any studies about women whom use sites like AdultFriendfinder. I think you'll find women who practice safe sex on those sites and some who don't. You'll find the same practices on regular dating websites as well. My suggestion is not to talk about STDs right away. It's an important subject of course, but talk about other subjects first. Get to know the woman first, determine if you want to be involved, and then talk about safe sex.
