If he or she is threatening or inappropriate in any way, you have the right to immediately terminate the connection.

Just because hundreds of miles (or even just a couple of city blocks) divide you, it's entirely possible to have a date with someone over the Internet. It's not just a "chat" date, an email date or a phone date. It's an honest-to-goodness date where you fix your hair, put on your makeup or put on a good shirt. You have to worry about cleaning up the place a little, because you're actually letting them see a bit of where you live. It's as close to a "real" date as you can get.
