Depending on how careful he is about covering his tracks, you may need to try several of these techniques.
Check His Cell Phone
If he is cheating, most likely he has talked with the other woman on his cell phone. Try to get access to his phone when you will have some time to look through it. Start with the numbers he has programmed into his phone. Do any of them look unfamiliar? Next, look at the list of calls for unfamiliar numbers. You can do a reverse directory check online once you have a phone number to look up. Also look for text messages as he may text her more than he calls.
If getting his phone is too difficult, then try to get his cell phone bill. It may have even more information than his phone.
Surprise Him
To catch a man cheating, you may have to surprise him. He cheats when he thinks you are not around to find out. So, change your routine to keep him guessing. You can show up at his office to have lunch with him, for example. Alternatively, bring him dinner when he says he is working late at the office. You can even leave the house and return a little while later because you “forgot” something.
Stake Out
Sometimes the only way to catch a guy is to follow him. If you have ever wanted to be a detective or a private investigator this may appeal to you. When you follow behind his car, make sure you stay back far enough so that he doesn’t spot you. Once you arrive, park your car close enough to see, but not so close as to raise suspicions. Then prepare for a potentially long wait in the car. Bring a camera or video camera to document your (and his) adventure.

Many people find someone to cheat with online. To see if your man is cheating, try signing up on various online dating web sites. At first just create a generic profile. All you want to do is try searching for him. However, you can go one step further and create a fake profile designed to attract him. Just be prepared for tons of e-mails from all the men on the site.

Check Car Mileage
With gas prices so high, many people are trying to drive less. A cheater, though, will be driving more often for visits with the other woman. If you notice an increase in his gas bill, ask him where he has been driving.
Check Pay Stubs
A common excuse cover used by cheaters is that they are working overtime. While he claims to be slaving away at the office, he is really out with his date. If your guy is paid by the hour, he should be bringing home a bigger paycheck with all those overtime hours.
Credit Card Statements
Your guy may be good at covering his tracks, but chances are he will still pay for his dates with a credit card. Check his statements for restaurant and hotel charges. These are the extra bills most likely to be incurred by a cheater.
Ask Him
This may surprise you, but asking your man if he is cheating is actually a good way of finding out. He can lie to you, of course. However, the fact that you asked tells him you suspect something. Give him a few weeks and his guilty conscious may not be able to take it anymore and then he will tell you everything.

A man who is cheating may have subtle changes to his behavior, spending habits, clothes and more. Unless you are really paying attention, you may not notice the changes. If you suspect he is cheating, start writing down unusually things that you notice. This will help you to notice patterns and figure out if he might be cheating.
